Description

Enjoy the authentic flavors of a restaurant-quality 15 Minute Sesame Garlic Chicken Lo Mein in the comfort of your own home. This quick and easy recipe delivers a delicious balance of savory, garlicky, and subtly sweet notes.

Ingredients

– 8 ounces lo mein noodles

– 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch pieces

– 2 tablespoons sesame oil

– 3 cloves garlic, minced

– 1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger

– 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce

– 2 tablespoons brown sugar

– 1 cup thinly sliced carrots

– 1 cup thinly sliced bell peppers

– 4 green onions, sliced into 1-inch pieces

– 2 tablespoons toasted sesame seeds

Instructions

1. – Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Cook the lo mein noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

2. – In a large skillet or wok, heat the sesame oil over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook for 5-6 minutes, stirring occasionally, until lightly browned.

3. – Add the garlic and ginger to the skillet and cook for 1 minute, until fragrant.

4. – In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce and brown sugar. Pour the sauce into the skillet and stir to coat the chicken.

5. – Add the cooked lo mein noodles, carrots, bell peppers, and green onions to the skillet. Toss everything together until the noodles are evenly coated and the vegetables are tender-crisp, about 2-3 minutes.

6. – Remove from heat and sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds. Serve immediately.

Notes

– For extra flavor, you can add a splash of rice vinegar or sriracha to the sauce.

– Substitute any vegetables you have on hand, such as broccoli, snow peas, or bean sprouts.

– Leftover lo mein can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
