These air fryer firecracker wings are a game-day favorite that’s quick, easy, and totally addictive. Cooked to crispy perfection in the air fryer and tossed in a spicy, tangy sauce, they make the perfect party snack or appetizer.
Ingredients
– 2 pounds chicken wings, drumettes and flats separated
– 1/4 cup hot sauce (such as Frank’s RedHot)
– 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
– 1 teaspoon garlic powder
– 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
– 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
– 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
1. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F.
2. In a large bowl, toss the chicken wings with the hot sauce, melted butter, garlic powder, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, and salt until evenly coated.
3. Arrange the wings in a single layer in the air fryer basket, making sure not to overcrowd.
4. Cook for 18-20 minutes, flipping the wings halfway through, until they’re crispy and golden brown.
5. Transfer the cooked wings to a serving bowl and toss with any remaining sauce from the air fryer basket.
6. Serve the air fryer firecracker wings immediately, garnished with chopped green onions if desired. Enjoy!
Notes
For extra crispy wings, pat the chicken dry with paper towels before tossing in the sauce. You can also adjust the spice level by adding more or less hot sauce to the sauce mixture.
