Description

Indulge in the ultimate fall treat with these irresistible Apple Crisp Bars! Packed with a sweet and juicy apple filling and topped with a buttery, crumbly topping, these bars are the perfect balance of flavors and textures.

Ingredients

– 4 cups peeled and sliced apples

– 1/2 cup brown sugar

– 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

– 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

– 1 cup all-purpose flour

– 1 cup old-fashioned oats

– 1/2 cup granulated sugar

– 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

Instructions

1. – Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8×8 inch baking pan.

2. – In a large bowl, toss the sliced apples with brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg until well coated.

3. – In a separate bowl, combine the flour, oats, and granulated sugar. Stir in the melted butter until a crumbly mixture forms.

4. – Spread the apple mixture in the prepared baking pan, then crumble the oat topping evenly over the top.

5. – Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the apples are tender and the topping is golden brown.

6. – Allow the bars to cool completely before cutting and serving.

Notes

For a richer flavor, try using a combination of apples like Honeycrisp, Granny Smith, and Gala. Serve the bars warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dusting of powdered sugar.
