Ingredients

– 2 cups all-purpose flour

– 1 tablespoon baking powder

– 1/2 teaspoon salt

– 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cubed and chilled

– 3/4 cup cold milk

– 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled

– 1 apple, peeled, cored, and diced


Instructions

1. – Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. – In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.

3. – Cut in the chilled butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

4. – Add the cold milk and stir just until a soft dough forms.

5. – Gently fold in the crumbled bacon and diced apple.

6. – Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead briefly, about 5-6 times.

7. – Pat the dough into a 1/2-inch thick round. Use a 2-inch biscuit cutter to cut out biscuits, pressing straight down without twisting.

8. – Place the biscuits on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 1 inch apart.

9. – Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.

Notes
