Ingredients

– 1 (8 oz) round of brie cheese

– 2 apples, peeled, cored, and thinly sliced

– 2 tablespoons brown sugar

– 2 tablespoons unsalted butter

– 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

– 1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves, plus more for garnish


Instructions

1. – Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

2. – Place the brie wheel in a small oven-safe baking dish.

3. – In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the sliced apples and brown sugar. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the apples are caramelized and tender, about 8-10 minutes.

4. – Stir in the cinnamon and fresh thyme leaves.

5. – Spoon the caramelized apple mixture over the top of the brie.

6. – Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the brie is warm and soft.

7. – Serve immediately, garnished with additional fresh thyme.

Notes

Enjoy this baked brie with crackers, bread, or fruit. The caramelized apples can also be made in advance and reheated before topping the brie.
