Description

Indulge in the ultimate breakfast treat with these Scrumptious Baked Maple Donut Bars. Featuring a tender, cake-like interior and a decadent maple glaze, these bars are perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

– 2 cups all-purpose flour

– 1 teaspoon baking powder

– 1/4 teaspoon salt

– 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

– 1 cup granulated sugar

– 2 large eggs

– 1/2 cup milk

– 1/4 cup pure maple syrup

Instructions

1. – Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease an 8×8-inch baking pan.

2. – In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.

3. – In a large bowl, beat the butter and sugar until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.

4. – Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.

5. – Alternate adding the flour mixture and milk to the butter mixture, mixing just until combined.

6. – Stir in the maple syrup.

7. – Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.

8. – Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

9. – Allow the bars to cool completely before cutting and serving.

Notes

– For a thicker glaze, increase the maple syrup to 1/3 cup.

– Swap the maple syrup for honey or another sweetener of your choice.

– Dust the cooled bars with powdered sugar for an extra touch of sweetness.
