Description

This Balsamic Fig Glazed Chicken is a quick and easy weeknight dinner that’s bursting with sweet and tangy flavors. Tender chicken breasts are coated in a luscious balsamic fig glaze for a meal that’s sure to impress.

Ingredients

– 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

– 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar

– 1/2 cup fig preserves

– 2 cloves garlic, minced

– 1 tablespoon olive oil

– Salt and pepper to taste

– Chopped fresh thyme for garnish

Instructions

1. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.

2. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook for 4-5 minutes per side, or until golden brown.

3. In a small bowl, whisk together the balsamic vinegar and fig preserves. Pour the mixture over the chicken and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes, turning the chicken to coat it evenly.

4. Reduce the heat to low and let the chicken continue to cook for 5-7 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened and the chicken is cooked through.

5. Garnish the Balsamic Fig Glazed Chicken with chopped fresh thyme before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, you can add a pinch of crushed red pepper flakes to the balsamic fig glaze. This dish pairs well with roasted vegetables or a fresh salad.
