Description

Bubba’s Crab Stew is a comforting and delicious seafood dish that’s perfect for chilly evenings or cozy gatherings. This rich, creamy stew is brimming with tender chunks of crab, simmered in a flavorful broth with aromatic vegetables and a touch of coastal spices.

Ingredients

– 1 pound lump crab meat, picked over for shells

– 2 tablespoons unsalted butter

– 1 medium onion, diced

– 2 stalks celery, diced

– 3 cloves garlic, minced

– 2 cups seafood or chicken broth

– 1 cup heavy cream

– 1 teaspoon paprika

– 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme

– 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper

– Salt and black pepper to taste

– Chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

1. In a large saucepan or Dutch oven, melt the butter over medium heat.

2. Add the diced onion and celery, and sauté for 5-7 minutes until softened.

3. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.

4. Pour in the seafood or chicken broth and heavy cream. Bring the mixture to a simmer.

5. Add the crab meat, paprika, thyme, and cayenne pepper. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

6. Reduce the heat to low and let the stew simmer for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the flavors have melded and the stew has thickened slightly.

7. Serve the Bubba’s Crab Stew hot, garnished with chopped parsley. Enjoy with crusty bread for dipping.

Notes

For a heartier meal, serve the stew over cooked rice or with a side of roasted vegetables. You can also adjust the spice level by adding more or less cayenne pepper to suit your preferences.
