Ingredients

– 3 cups peeled and cubed butternut squash

– 3 apples, peeled, cored, and sliced

– 1/2 cup brown sugar

– 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

– 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

– 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

– 1/4 cup chopped pecans

2. In a large bowl, combine the cubed butternut squash, sliced apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Toss to coat the vegetables and fruit.

3. Transfer the mixture to a 9×13 inch baking dish.

4. In a separate bowl, mix together the melted butter, flour, rolled oats, and chopped pecans until a crumbly topping forms.

5. Sprinkle the topping evenly over the butternut squash and apple mixture.

7. Allow the bake to cool for 10-15 minutes before serving.

Notes

Serve warm, with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream for an extra indulgent treat. For a variation, you can also add a handful of dried cranberries or raisins to the filling. This bake can be made a day in advance and reheated before serving.
