Description

Indulge in the rich, savory flavors of this Buttery Herb Stuffing, a perfect holiday side dish that’s easy to make and sure to impress.

Ingredients

– 1 loaf of day-old bread, cubed

– 1 cup unsalted butter

– 1 onion, diced

– 3 celery stalks, diced

– 3 cloves garlic, minced

– 1 tablespoon fresh thyme, chopped

– 1 tablespoon fresh sage, chopped

– 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped

– 1 teaspoon salt

– 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

– 1 cup chicken or vegetable broth

Instructions

1. 1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

2. 2. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the onions and celery, and sauté for 5-7 minutes until softened.

3. 3. Stir in the garlic, thyme, sage, parsley, salt, and pepper. Cook for an additional 2 minutes, until fragrant.

4. 4. In a large bowl, combine the sautéed vegetables with the bread cubes. Gently mix in the broth until the bread is evenly moistened.

5. 5. Transfer the stuffing mixture to a greased baking dish. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes.

6. 6. Remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and crispy.

7. 7. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

For a crisper texture, spread the stuffing mixture on a baking sheet and bake for 10-15 minutes before transferring to the baking dish. You can also add chopped nuts, dried cranberries, or sausage for extra flavor.
