Ingredients
– 1 loaf of day-old bread, cubed
– 1 cup unsalted butter
– 1 onion, diced
– 3 celery stalks, diced
– 3 cloves garlic, minced
– 1 tablespoon fresh thyme, chopped
– 1 tablespoon fresh sage, chopped
– 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
– 1 teaspoon salt
– 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
– 1 cup chicken or vegetable broth
Instructions
1. 1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. 2. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the onions and celery, and sauté for 5-7 minutes until softened.
3. 3. Stir in the garlic, thyme, sage, parsley, salt, and pepper. Cook for an additional 2 minutes, until fragrant.
4. 4. In a large bowl, combine the sautéed vegetables with the bread cubes. Gently mix in the broth until the bread is evenly moistened.
