Description
Caprese Chicken Saltimbocca is a quick and easy 30-minute meal that’s packed with flavor. Tender chicken breasts are topped with melty mozzarella cheese, fresh basil leaves, and a drizzle of balsamic glaze for an irresistible Italian-inspired dish.
Ingredients
– 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
– 1 tsp garlic powder
– 1 tsp dried oregano
– 1/2 tsp salt
– 1/4 tsp black pepper
– 8 oz fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced
– 1/2 cup fresh basil leaves
– 2 tbsp balsamic glaze
Instructions
1. – Preheat the oven to 400°F.
2. – Season the chicken breasts with garlic powder, oregano, salt, and pepper.
3. – Place the chicken in a baking dish and bake for 20 minutes.
4. – Remove the chicken from the oven and top each breast with 2 slices of mozzarella cheese.
5. – Return the dish to the oven and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes, until the cheese is melted and the chicken is cooked through.
6. – Remove the chicken from the oven and top each breast with 2-3 fresh basil leaves.
7. – Drizzle the balsamic glaze over the top of the chicken.
8. – Serve immediately and enjoy!
Notes
This dish can be easily customized by using different types of cheese, such as provolone or parmesan. You can also add a sprinkle of Italian seasoning or red pepper flakes for extra flavor.
