Description

Caramelized Brussels Sprouts are a delectable and easy-to-make side dish that’s perfect for weeknight dinners or holiday gatherings. The brussels sprouts are tossed in a sweet and savory glaze and roasted until they’re tender, crispy, and beautifully caramelized.

Ingredients

– 1 lb brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved

– 2 tbsp olive oil

– 2 tbsp maple syrup

– 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar

– 1 tsp garlic powder

– 1/2 tsp salt

– 1/4 tsp black pepper

Instructions

1. 1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

2. 2. In a large bowl, toss the trimmed and halved brussels sprouts with the olive oil, maple syrup, balsamic vinegar, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper until well coated.

3. 3. Spread the brussels sprouts out in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

4. 4. Roast the brussels sprouts for 15-20 minutes, or until they’re tender and caramelized, stirring halfway through.

5. 5. Serve the Caramelized Brussels Sprouts hot, garnished with a sprinkle of toasted nuts or a drizzle of balsamic glaze, if desired.

Notes

For a crispier texture, you can roast the brussels sprouts for an additional 5-10 minutes. You can also experiment with different seasonings, such as smoked paprika or Parmesan cheese.
