Description

Indulge in the irresistible flavors of our Chai Pear Tart, a quick and easy recipe that’s perfect for any occasion. Savor the perfect balance of warm chai spices and juicy pear slices in a buttery, flaky crust.

Ingredients

– 1 refrigerated pie crust

– 3 ripe pears, peeled, cored, and thinly sliced

– 1/2 cup granulated sugar

– 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

– 1 teaspoon ground ginger

– 1/2 teaspoon ground cardamom

– 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves

– 2 eggs, beaten

– 1 tablespoon heavy cream

Instructions

1. 1. Preheat the oven to 400°F.

2. 2. Unroll the pie crust and press it into a 9-inch tart pan with a removable bottom.

3. 3. In a large bowl, toss the pear slices with the sugar, cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, and cloves until well coated.

4. 4. Arrange the pear slices in the prepared tart pan, overlapping them slightly.

5. 5. In a small bowl, whisk together the eggs and heavy cream. Pour the egg mixture over the pears.

6. 6. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is set.

7. 7. Allow the tart to cool for 10 minutes before removing the outer ring of the tart pan.

8. 8. Serve warm or at room temperature.

Notes

For a more pronounced chai flavor, you can add 1-2 teaspoons of loose chai tea leaves to the pear mixture. This tart is also delicious served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dusting of powdered sugar.
