Ingredients
– 1 cup fresh cherries, pitted and halved
– 2 Earl Grey tea bags
– 2 cups milk (dairy, almond, or oat)
– 2 tablespoons honey (or to taste)
– Ice cubes (optional)
Instructions
1. In a small saucepan, combine the pitted and halved cherries with the Earl Grey tea bags and 1 cup of milk.
2. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer over medium heat, and let it steep for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally.
3. Remove the tea bags and discard them. Use a slotted spoon to transfer the cherries to a bowl, leaving the tea-infused milk in the saucepan.
4. Add the remaining 1 cup of milk to the saucepan and heat the mixture until it’s warm and steamy, but not boiling.
5. Stir in the honey, adjusting the amount to your desired sweetness.
6. Pour the Cherry Earl Grey milk tea into glasses, and top with the reserved cherries.
7. Serve immediately, over ice if desired.
