Description

Chocolate Salami is a classic no-bake dessert that’s easy to make and bursting with rich, fudgy flavor. This decadent treat features a simple combination of melted chocolate, butter, and crushed cookies or graham crackers, shaped into a log and dusted with cocoa powder. It’s a perfect party food, holiday gift, or anytime indulgence.

Ingredients

– 8 ounces dark chocolate, chopped

– 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

– 1/2 cup powdered sugar

– 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder, plus more for dusting

– 1 1/2 cups crushed graham crackers or digestive biscuits

– 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or almonds (optional)

Instructions

1. In a medium saucepan, melt the chocolate and butter over low heat, stirring constantly until smooth. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted chocolate mixture, powdered sugar, and cocoa powder. Mix until well incorporated.

3. Fold in the crushed graham crackers (or biscuits) and chopped nuts (if using) until the mixture is well combined and has a dough-like consistency.

4. Transfer the mixture onto a large piece of parchment paper or plastic wrap. Shape it into a log, about 1 1/2 inches in diameter.

5. Wrap the log tightly in the parchment or plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until firm.

6. Remove the log from the refrigerator and unwrap. Dust the outside generously with cocoa powder, coating it completely.

7. Slice the Chocolate Salami into 1/2-inch thick rounds and serve chilled. Enjoy!

Notes

– For a firmer texture, you can add an additional 1/4 cup of crushed graham crackers or biscuits.

– Try experimenting with different nut varieties or dried fruit for added flavor and texture.

– Chocolate Salami can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 1 week, wrapped tightly in plastic or parchment.
