Description

Indulge in this mouthwatering Cranberry, Camembert & Pistachio Christmas Tree Puff Pastry – a showstopping holiday appetizer that’s sure to wow your guests. Flaky puff pastry is filled with a creamy camembert and tart cranberry spread, then topped with crunchy pistachios for a festive twist.

Ingredients

– 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed

– 8 oz camembert cheese, cut into small pieces

– 1 cup fresh or frozen cranberries

– 1/4 cup granulated sugar

– 1/4 cup shelled pistachios, chopped

Instructions

1. – Preheat oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. – On a lightly floured surface, roll out the puff pastry into a large rectangle, about 12×16 inches.

3. – In a small saucepan, combine the cranberries and sugar. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the cranberries have burst and the mixture has thickened, about 10 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

4. – Spread the camembert pieces evenly over the puff pastry, leaving a 1-inch border. Top with the cooked cranberry mixture.

5. – Starting from one long side, tightly roll up the puff pastry into a log. Slice the log diagonally into 1-inch thick pieces, arranging them in a Christmas tree shape on the prepared baking sheet.

6. – Sprinkle the chopped pistachios over the top of the puff pastry.

7. – Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown. Serve warm.

Notes

For a festive touch, top the baked puff pastry with sprigs of fresh rosemary. The cranberry mixture can be made a day in advance and stored in the refrigerator.
