Ingredients
– 12 ounces fresh or frozen cranberries
– 3 jalapeño peppers, seeded and finely chopped
– 1 cup white sugar
– 1/4 cup light brown sugar
– 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
– 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 250°F (120°C).
2. In a large bowl, combine the cranberries, chopped jalapeños, white sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, and cloves. Stir until the cranberries are evenly coated.
3. Spread the cranberry mixture in a single layer on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
4. Bake for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes, until the cranberries are shriveled and the sugar has caramelized.
5. Allow the Cranberry Jalapeño Cowboy Candy to cool completely on the baking sheet before serving.
Notes
Store the cooled Cranberry Jalapeño Cowboy Candy in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week. The candy can also be frozen for up to 3 months.
