Description

Savor the rich, caramelized flavors of this classic Crockpot French Onion Beefloaf, a comforting and hearty family-style dinner that’s perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

– 2 lbs ground beef

– 1 cup breadcrumbs

– 2 eggs

– 1 cup beef broth

– 1 onion, diced

– 3 cloves garlic, minced

– 1 tsp dried thyme

– 1 tsp salt

– 1/2 tsp black pepper

Instructions

1. – In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, eggs, beef broth, onion, garlic, thyme, salt, and pepper. Mix well until fully incorporated.

2. – Transfer the mixture to a lightly greased crockpot and shape it into a loaf.

3. – Cook on low for 6-8 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.

4. – Remove the beefloaf from the crockpot and let it rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

– For a richer flavor, add 1/2 cup of caramelized onions to the beefloaf mixture.

– Serve with mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, or a fresh salad for a complete meal.

– Leftover beefloaf can be sliced and frozen for easy reheating later.
