Ingredients
– 3 lbs russet potatoes, peeled and cut into 1-inch cubes
– 1 cup milk
– 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cubed
– 1 teaspoon salt
– 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
1. – Add the cubed potatoes to a 6-quart slow cooker.
2. – Pour the milk over the potatoes and add the cubed butter, salt, and pepper.
3. – Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours, or until the potatoes are very tender.
4. – Use a potato masher or hand mixer to mash the potatoes until smooth and creamy.
5. – Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
6. – Serve hot, garnished with additional butter, chopped parsley, or other desired toppings.
Notes
– For thicker, chunkier mashed potatoes, use a potato ricer instead of mashing.
