Ingredients

– 8 slices thick-cut bread

– 8 slices ham

– 8 slices Swiss cheese

– 4 eggs

– 2 cups all-purpose flour

– 2 teaspoons baking powder

– 1 teaspoon salt

– 1 1/2 cups milk

– 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

– 1 tablespoon sugar


Instructions

1. Preheat your waffle iron to medium-high heat.

2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, milk, melted butter, and sugar until the batter is smooth.

3. Place a slice of bread on the waffle iron, top with a slice of ham and a slice of Swiss cheese. Pour the waffle batter over the top and close the lid.

4. Cook for 3-4 minutes, or until the waffle is golden brown and the cheese is melted.

5. Repeat this process with the remaining bread, ham, and cheese.
