Ingredients
– 1 lb ground beef
– 1 packet taco seasoning
– 1 bag tortilla chips
– 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
– 2 cups shredded monterey jack cheese
– 1 cup diced tomatoes
– 1/2 cup sliced jalapeños
– 1 cup sour cream
– 1 cup guacamole
– 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
Instructions
1. – In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium-high heat until browned and crumbled, 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat.
2. – Stir in the taco seasoning and 1/4 cup water. Simmer for 2-3 minutes until thickened.
3. – Preheat oven to 375°F. Spread the tortilla chips in a single layer on a large baking sheet or in a 9×13 baking dish.
4. – Top the chips evenly with the seasoned ground beef, then sprinkle the cheddar and monterey jack cheeses over the top.
5. – Bake for 10-12 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
6. – Remove from oven and top with diced tomatoes, sliced jalapeños, sour cream, guacamole, and chopped cilantro.
7. – Serve hot and enjoy!
Notes
– For extra spice, add more sliced jalapeños or use pepper jack cheese.
