Elevate your coffee game with this luxurious Espresso Tonic infused with a silky, citrusy yuzu foam. The perfect pick-me-up for any time of day.
Ingredients
– 2 shots (4 ounces) freshly brewed espresso
– 1 cup (8 ounces) chilled club soda or tonic water
– 2 tablespoons (1 ounce) yuzu juice
– 2 tablespoons (1 ounce) granulated sugar
– 1 egg white
Instructions
1. In a small bowl, combine the yuzu juice and sugar. Whisk vigorously until the sugar has dissolved and the mixture is frothy.
2. In a separate bowl, whisk the egg white until it forms stiff peaks.
3. Gently fold the whipped egg white into the yuzu-sugar mixture until well combined and airy.
4. Fill a tall glass with ice cubes. Pour in the freshly brewed espresso and top with the chilled club soda or tonic water.
5. Spoon the yuzu foam over the top of the espresso tonic, allowing it to cascade down the sides.
6. Garnish with a slice of yuzu and a sprig of mint, if desired.
7. Serve immediately and enjoy the refreshing and luxurious combination of flavors.
Notes
For a stronger espresso flavor, use 3 shots (6 ounces) of espresso. The yuzu foam can also be used to top other cold coffee or tea beverages.
