Description

These Filipino Pork BBQ Skewers are a perfect balance of sweet, savory, and smoky flavors. Tender pork is marinated in a zesty sauce, then grilled to perfection for a finger-licking good appetizer or main dish.

Ingredients

– 1 pound pork tenderloin, cut into 1-inch cubes

– 1/2 cup soy sauce

– 1/4 cup brown sugar

– 3 cloves garlic, minced

– 1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger

– 1 lime, juiced

– 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

– 12 wooden skewers, soaked in water for 30 minutes

Instructions

1. In a large bowl, combine the pork, soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, lime juice, and red pepper flakes (if using). Toss to coat the pork. Cover and marinate for at least 30 minutes, up to 4 hours.

2. Preheat grill to medium-high heat.

3. Thread the marinated pork cubes onto the soaked wooden skewers, leaving a small space between each piece.

4. Grill the skewers for 2-3 minutes per side, or until the pork is cooked through and slightly charred.

5. Serve the Filipino Pork BBQ Skewers hot, garnished with fresh cilantro if desired.

Notes

For best results, marinate the pork for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to develop. The red pepper flakes add a nice touch of heat, but are optional. You can also serve these skewers with a dipping sauce, such as a sweet chili sauce or a garlic-ginger sauce.
