Description

Indulge in the ultimate holiday appetizer or side dish with this Garlic Herb Sourdough Bread Stuffed With Brie & Cranberry. The soft, fragrant sourdough bread is filled with melted brie cheese and tart cranberries, creating a mouthwatering combination of flavors and textures.

Ingredients

– 1 large sourdough boule

– 8 oz brie cheese, cut into slices

– 1 cup fresh or frozen cranberries

– 4 cloves garlic, minced

– 2 tbsp fresh chopped herbs (such as thyme, rosemary, parsley)

– 2 tbsp olive oil

– Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

1. – Preheat oven to 375°F.

2. – Cut the sourdough boule in half horizontally, creating a top and bottom piece.

3. – In a small bowl, mix together the minced garlic, chopped herbs, olive oil, salt, and pepper.

4. – Spread the garlic herb mixture evenly over the cut sides of the sourdough.

5. – Arrange the brie slices in an even layer on the bottom half of the sourdough.

6. – Sprinkle the fresh cranberries over the brie.

7. – Place the top half of the sourdough back on and wrap the entire loaf tightly in foil.

8. – Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the brie is melted and the bread is heated through.

9. – Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes to lightly toast the top.

10. – Slice and serve warm, drizzled with honey if desired.

Notes

– For a more indulgent version, brush the top of the bread with melted butter or garlic butter before baking.

– Swap out the cranberries for a different type of berry, such as raspberries or blueberries, for a varied flavor profile.

– This dish can be assembled and refrigerated a day in advance, then baked just before serving.
