Description

Indulge in the rich, buttery goodness of these quick and easy Garlic Mashed Potatoes. Ready in just 5 minutes, this side dish is perfect for busy weeknights or as a comforting accompaniment to any main course.

Ingredients

– 3 lbs Yukon Gold potatoes, peeled and cut into 1-inch cubes

– 4 cloves garlic, minced

– 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

– 1 cup warm milk

– 1 tsp salt

– 1/4 tsp black pepper

Instructions

1. – Place the cubed potatoes in a large pot and cover with cold water.

2. – Bring the water to a boil over high heat, then reduce the heat to medium-low and simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until the potatoes are fork-tender.

3. – Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot.

4. – Add the minced garlic, butter, warm milk, salt, and pepper. Use a potato masher or hand mixer to mash the potatoes until smooth and creamy.

5. – Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.

6. – Serve the garlic mashed potatoes hot, garnished with additional butter, chopped parsley, or chives if desired.

Notes

For extra flavor, roast the garlic cloves before mincing. You can also add a splash of heavy cream or sour cream for an even richer texture. Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
