Description

Bite-sized, heart-shaped pepperoni pizza pockets are the perfect fun and tasty treat for any occasion. With a flaky crust, melted cheese, and savory pepperoni, these pockets are sure to be a hit with the whole family.

Ingredients

– 1 lb pizza dough

– 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

– 1 cup pepperoni, diced

– 1 tablespoon olive oil

– 1 teaspoon garlic powder

– 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano

– 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).

2. On a lightly floured surface, roll the pizza dough out to 1/4-inch thickness.

3. Use a heart-shaped cookie cutter to cut out heart shapes from the dough.

4. Place the heart-shaped dough pieces on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

5. In a small bowl, mix together the mozzarella cheese, diced pepperoni, olive oil, garlic powder, oregano, and salt.

6. Spoon the pepperoni-cheese mixture onto the center of each heart-shaped dough piece, leaving a 1/2-inch border.

7. Fold the dough over to create a half-moon shape and crimp the edges with a fork to seal.

8. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the pockets are golden brown.

9. Serve hot, with a side of warm marinara sauce for dipping.

Notes

For a crispier crust, brush the pockets with a little melted butter or olive oil before baking. You can also experiment with different fillings, such as spinach and feta or sausage and peppers.
