Description

Enjoy the beloved flavors of the McGriddle breakfast sandwich in a quick and easy-to-make muffin form. These Homemade McGriddle Muffins are the perfect addition to your morning routine, with a soft, fluffy texture and a delicious blend of sausage, cheese, and maple syrup.

Ingredients

– 2 cups all-purpose flour

– 1 tablespoon baking powder

– 1 teaspoon salt

– 2 tablespoons granulated sugar

– 1 cup milk

– 2 large eggs

– 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

– 8 cooked sausage patties, cut in half

– 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

– 1/4 cup maple syrup

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Grease a 12-cup muffin tin or line it with paper liners.

2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.

3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, and melted butter.

4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir just until combined (do not overmix).

5. Scoop the batter into the prepared muffin cups, filling them about 3/4 full.

6. Press a sausage patty half into the center of each muffin, then sprinkle the top with shredded cheddar cheese.

7. Bake for 15-18 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

8. Drizzle the warm muffins with maple syrup before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, you can add a teaspoon of vanilla extract or a pinch of nutmeg to the batter. These muffins are best enjoyed warm, but they can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
