Description
This Honey Garlic Sausage Pasta Skillet is a quick and easy one-pan meal that’s perfect for busy weeknights. Tender pasta, savory sausage, and a sweet-savory honey garlic sauce come together for a flavorful and satisfying dinner.
Ingredients
– 8 oz penne pasta
– 1 lb Italian sausage, casings removed
– 3 cloves garlic, minced
– 1/4 cup honey
– 2 tbsp soy sauce
– 1 tsp dried oregano
– 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
– Salt and black pepper, to taste
– 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the penne pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
2. In a large skillet, cook the Italian sausage over medium-high heat, breaking it up with a wooden spoon, until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
3. Add the minced garlic to the skillet and cook for 1 minute, until fragrant.
4. In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, oregano, and red pepper flakes (if using). Pour the sauce into the skillet and stir to coat the sausage.
5. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to combine. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
6. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and serve immediately.
Notes
For a spicier version, increase the amount of red pepper flakes. You can also use a different type of pasta, such as fusilli or rigatoni.
