Ingredients
– 2 cups all-purpose flour
– 1 teaspoon baking powder
– 1/2 teaspoon salt
– 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, chilled and cubed
– 1 cup mashed potatoes, cooled
– 1/4 cup milk
Instructions
1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.
2. Cut in the chilled butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
3. Stir in the mashed potatoes and milk until a soft dough forms.
4. Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead briefly.
5. Divide the dough into 8 equal pieces and shape each into a round farl.
6. Heat a lightly greased griddle or skillet over medium heat.
7. Cook the farls for 3-4 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
