Ingredients
– 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
– 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
– 1/2 cup diced fresh jalapeños (or 1/4 cup pickled jalapeños)
– 1 teaspoon garlic powder
– 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
– 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
– 1 (8 oz) can refrigerated crescent roll dough
– 2 tablespoons melted butter
– 1/4 cup panko breadcrumbs
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. In a medium bowl, mix together the cream cheese, cheddar cheese, jalapeños, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper until well combined.
3. Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate into 8 triangles. Spoon about 2 tablespoons of the cheese mixture onto the wide end of each triangle.
4. Starting from the wide end, tightly roll up each triangle into a spiral. Twist the rolled dough into a pretzel shape.
5. Place the twisted dough pieces on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the tops with melted butter and sprinkle with panko breadcrumbs.
6. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the twists are golden brown. Serve warm.
Notes
For extra flavor, try using a blend of cheeses like pepper jack and cheddar. You can also add a sprinkle of dried parsley or chives on top.
