Ingredients

– 1 pound beef brisket, thinly sliced

– 1 onion, diced

– 3 cloves garlic, minced

– 2 carrots, peeled and sliced

– 2 cups napa cabbage, chopped

– 8 cups beef or chicken broth

– 2 tablespoons soy sauce

– 1 tablespoon sesame oil

– 1 teaspoon ginger, grated

– 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

– 2 green onions, thinly sliced

– Salt to taste


Instructions

1. In a large pot or Dutch oven, heat 1 tablespoon of oil over medium-high heat.

2. Add the sliced beef brisket and cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until browned.

3. Add the onion and garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes, until fragrant.

4. Pour in the beef or chicken broth, soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, and black pepper. Bring the mixture to a boil.
