Description

Indulge in the ethereal flavors of this Lavender Honey Panna Cotta – a luscious, creamy dessert that’s easy to make and sure to impress.

Ingredients

– 2 cups heavy cream

– 1 cup whole milk

– 1/2 cup honey, plus more for drizzling

– 2 tablespoons dried culinary lavender, plus more for garnish

– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

– 1 tablespoon unflavored gelatin powder

Instructions

1. In a medium saucepan, combine the heavy cream, milk, 1/2 cup honey, and 2 tablespoons of dried lavender. Heat the mixture over medium, stirring occasionally, until it just begins to simmer.

2. Remove the saucepan from the heat and let the lavender steep for 15 minutes.

3. Sprinkle the gelatin powder over the surface of the cream mixture and whisk until completely dissolved.

4. Strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve to remove the lavender, then stir in the vanilla extract.

5. Divide the panna cotta mixture evenly among 6 ramekins or small glasses. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or until set.

6. When ready to serve, run a knife around the edge of each panna cotta and invert onto a plate, if desired. Drizzle with additional honey and garnish with fresh lavender sprigs.

Notes

For a more intense lavender flavor, you can steep the lavender for up to 30 minutes. The panna cotta can be made up to 3 days in advance and stored, covered, in the refrigerator.
