Description

Indulge in the irresistible flavors of Maple Bourbon Pecan Chicken, where tender chicken breasts are coated in a sweet and savory glaze made with real maple syrup and bourbon. Topped with crunchy toasted pecans, this dish is a delightful balance of textures and tastes.

Ingredients

– 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

– 1/4 cup maple syrup

– 2 tablespoons bourbon

– 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard

– 2 teaspoons smoked paprika

– 1 teaspoon salt

– 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

– 1 cup chopped pecans

– 2 tablespoons unsalted butter

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

2. In a shallow bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, bourbon, Dijon mustard, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.

3. Add the chicken breasts to the bowl and turn to coat them evenly with the maple bourbon glaze.

4. Heat a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Melt the butter in the skillet.

5. Add the chicken breasts to the hot skillet and sear for 2-3 minutes per side, until golden brown.

6. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).

7. Remove the skillet from the oven and sprinkle the chopped pecans over the chicken.

8. Return the skillet to the oven for an additional 5 minutes, or until the pecans are toasted and fragrant.

9. Serve the Maple Bourbon Pecan Chicken immediately, garnished with any remaining glaze from the skillet.

Notes

For a creamier sauce, you can add a tablespoon of heavy cream or sour cream to the glaze. The pecans can be toasted ahead of time for added crunch. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
