Description

Marrow Chutney is a delightful Indian condiment that’s bursting with vibrant flavors. This easy-to-make chutney is the perfect accompaniment to enhance your everyday meals, adding a tangy and slightly sweet note to your dishes.


Ingredients

– 2 cups diced marrow

– 1 onion, finely chopped

– 3 cloves garlic, minced

– 1 tsp cumin seeds

– 1 tsp mustard seeds

– 1 tsp coriander powder

– 1 tsp red chili powder

– 1 tsp tamarind chutney

– 2 tbsp oil

– Salt to taste


Instructions

1. – Heat oil in a pan and add the cumin seeds and mustard seeds. Allow them to crackle.

2. – Add the chopped onions and sauté until translucent.

3. – Add the minced garlic and sauté for another minute.

4. – Add the diced marrow, coriander powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well.

5. – Cook the marrow chutney for about 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the marrow is tender and the chutney has thickened.

6. – Stir in the tamarind chutney and adjust seasoning if needed.

7. – Serve the Marrow Chutney warm or at room temperature as a condiment or side dish.

Notes

– For a spicier chutney, add more red chili powder.

– The chutney can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
