Description

Ingredients

– 1 pound ground beef

– 1 cup breadcrumbs

– 1 egg

– 1/2 cup diced onion

– 3 cloves garlic, minced

– 1 tablespoon dried oregano

– 1 teaspoon dried basil

– 1/2 teaspoon salt

– 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

– 1 cup heavy cream

– 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

– 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

– 1 tablespoon lemon juice

– 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

– 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme


Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 375°F.

2. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, onion, garlic, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Mix well until fully incorporated.

3. Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a baking dish.

4. Bake for 30 minutes.

5. In a medium saucepan, whisk together the heavy cream, parsley, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, garlic powder, and dried thyme.

6. Bring the sauce to a simmer and cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thickened.

7. Remove the meatloaf from the oven and drizzle the garlic herb sauce over the top.

8. Return the meatloaf to the oven and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.

9. Let the meatloaf rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

For a creamier sauce, add an additional 1/4 cup of heavy cream. You can also substitute ground turkey or chicken for the ground beef. Serve with roasted vegetables or a fresh salad for a complete meal.
