Description

This authentic Mexican Salsa Recipe is a vibrant, flavor-packed dip that’s ready in just 5 minutes. Made with fresh tomatoes, onions, jalapeño, cilantro, and lime, it’s the perfect accompaniment for chips, tacos, and more.

Ingredients

– 3 ripe tomatoes, diced

– 1/2 red onion, finely chopped

– 1 jalapeño, seeded and finely chopped

– 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro

– 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lime juice

– 1 teaspoon salt

– 1/4 teaspoon ground cumin

Instructions

1. In a medium bowl, combine the diced tomatoes, chopped onion, jalapeño, cilantro, lime juice, salt, and cumin.

2. Stir gently to mix all the ingredients together.

3. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed, adding more lime juice for acidity or salt for flavor.

4. Serve immediately with tortilla chips or use as a topping for tacos, burgers, and more.

Notes

For a milder salsa, remove the seeds and membranes from the jalapeño before chopping. You can also add a tablespoon of diced avocado for a creamier texture. This salsa keeps well in the fridge for up to 5 days.
