Description

Discover the bold flavors of the Middle East in this irresistible Zaatar Yogurt Chicken recipe. Tender chicken is coated in a creamy, spice-infused yogurt sauce, creating a quick and comforting dinner that’s perfect for any night of the week.

Ingredients

– 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts

– 1 cup plain Greek yogurt

– 2 tablespoons zaatar seasoning

– 2 cloves garlic, minced

– 1 teaspoon lemon juice

– 1/2 teaspoon salt

– 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

– 2 tablespoons olive oil

– Chopped fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions

1. In a large bowl, mix together the yogurt, zaatar seasoning, garlic, lemon juice, salt, and pepper.

2. Add the chicken to the yogurt mixture and toss to coat evenly. Cover and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes (or up to 4 hours).

3. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

4. Add the marinated chicken to the skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes per side, or until the chicken is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.

5. Remove the chicken from the skillet and let rest for 5 minutes.

6. Slice the chicken and serve immediately, garnished with chopped fresh parsley.

Notes

For extra flavor, you can also add a sprinkle of zaatar seasoning to the chicken just before serving. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
