Description

Ingredients

– 1 cup all-purpose flour

– 1 cup yellow cornmeal

– 2 teaspoons baking powder

– 1/2 teaspoon salt

– 1 egg

– 1 cup milk

– 2 tablespoons melted butter

– 8 hot dogs, cut into 1-inch pieces


Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 400°F and grease a 12-cup muffin tin.

2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cornmeal, baking powder, and salt.

3. In a separate bowl, beat the egg, then stir in the milk and melted butter.

4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir just until combined.

5. Divide the batter evenly among the prepared muffin cups, filling each about 3/4 full.

6. Gently press a piece of hot dog into the center of each muffin.

7. Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until the muffins are golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

8. Allow the muffins to cool in the pan for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
