These Monte Cristo Sliders are the ultimate sweet and savory treat. Layers of melted cheese, ham or turkey, and a crispy, golden-brown exterior make these sliders irresistible. Perfect as an appetizer or a light meal, they’re sure to delight your taste buds.
Ingredients
– 12 dinner rolls or Hawaiian rolls, split in half horizontally
– 6 slices Swiss cheese
– 6 slices deli ham or turkey
– 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
– 2 tablespoons powdered sugar, plus more for dusting
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. Place the bottom halves of the rolls on a baking sheet.
3. Top each bottom half with a slice of Swiss cheese and a slice of ham or turkey.
4. Cover with the top halves of the rolls.
5. Brush the tops of the rolls with the melted butter.
6. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the rolls are golden brown.
7. Remove the sliders from the oven and dust them generously with powdered sugar.
8. Serve the Monte Cristo Sliders warm, with additional powdered sugar for dipping on the side.
Notes
For a richer flavor, you can use a combination of Swiss and Gruyère cheeses. You can also add a touch of Dijon mustard to the sandwiches before assembling.
