Ingredients
– 10 sheets phyllo dough
– 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
– 1 cup Nutella
– 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or hazelnuts
– 1/4 cup honey
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. Lay one sheet of phyllo dough in a 9×13 inch baking dish, and brush it lightly with melted butter.
3. Repeat this process with 4 more sheets of phyllo, brushing each layer with butter.
4. Spread the Nutella evenly over the top layer of phyllo.
5. Top the Nutella with the remaining 5 sheets of phyllo, brushing each layer with butter.
6. Using a sharp knife, cut the layered phyllo into diamond or square shapes.
7. Bake the Nutella Baklava for 25-30 minutes, until the top is golden brown.
8. Remove the Baklava from the oven and drizzle the honey over the top.
9. Allow the Baklava to cool for at least 15 minutes before serving.
Notes
For best results, use high-quality phyllo dough and Nutella. You can also add a sprinkle of chopped nuts on top for extra crunch. This Nutella Baklava can be stored at room temperature for up to 3 days.
