Description

Crispy, golden oven-fried feta rolls with a sweet and spicy chili honey glaze – the perfect appetizer or side dish!

Ingredients

– 8 oz feta cheese, crumbled

– 8 sheets phyllo dough

– 2 tbsp olive oil

– 1/4 cup honey

– 2 tsp chili powder

– 1 tsp red pepper flakes

– 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

1. – Preheat oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. – In a bowl, mix together the crumbled feta cheese.

3. – Place one sheet of phyllo dough on a clean work surface and brush with olive oil. Top with another sheet of phyllo and brush with oil. Repeat with 6 more sheets of phyllo.

4. – Cut the layered phyllo sheets into 8 equal rectangles. Place a heaping tablespoon of feta in the center of each rectangle. Fold the phyllo over the filling to create a roll, then place seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.

5. – Bake for 12-15 minutes, until golden brown.

6. – In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, chili powder, and red pepper flakes.

7. – Drizzle the chili honey glaze over the warm oven-fried feta rolls. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley.

8. – Serve immediately, enjoy!

Notes

These oven-fried feta rolls can be made ahead and reheated before serving. The chili honey glaze can be adjusted to your desired level of spice.
