Ingredients

– 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, melted

– 2 cups packed brown sugar

– 3 large eggs

– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

– 1/4 teaspoon salt

– 2 cups all-purpose flour

– 2 cups chopped pecans


Instructions

1. – Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.

2. – In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter and brown sugar until combined.

3. – Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla and salt.

4. – Gradually add the flour, mixing just until incorporated. Fold in the chopped pecans.

5. – Spread the batter evenly into the prepared baking pan.

6. – Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the center is set and the edges are golden brown.

7. – Allow the bars to cool completely before cutting into squares.

Notes

For a richer flavor, use dark brown sugar. You can also add a pinch of cinnamon or a touch of bourbon to the batter. These bars can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
