Description

Tender, juicy roasted steaks are elevated with a vibrant, herbal mint gremolata in this quick and easy family-style meal. The bright, flavorful topping complements the rich, beefy steak perfectly for a delicious and satisfying dish.

Ingredients

– 2 pounds beef sirloin steaks

– 2 tablespoons olive oil

– 1 teaspoon salt

– 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

– 1 cup fresh mint leaves, finely chopped

– 2 cloves garlic, minced

– 1 lemon, zested and juiced

– 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 400°F.

2. Pat the steaks dry and season generously with salt and pepper on all sides.

3. Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over high heat. Sear the steaks for 2-3 minutes per side until a nice crust forms.

4. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and roast the steaks for 8-10 minutes for medium-rare doneness. Allow to rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

5. In a small bowl, combine the chopped mint, garlic, lemon zest, lemon juice, and 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Season with a pinch of salt and pepper.

6. Slice the roasted steaks and top with the mint gremolata. Serve immediately.

Notes

For best results, use high-quality, fresh ingredients. The gremolata can be made in advance and refrigerated until ready to serve. Feel free to adjust the cooking time for your desired level of doneness.
