Ingredients

– 8 oz cream cheese, softened

– 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

– 1 cup granulated sugar

– 1 egg

– 1 tsp vanilla extract

– 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

– 1/2 tsp baking powder

– 1/4 tsp salt

– 1/2 cup salted caramel sauce


Instructions

1. – Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. – In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese and butter until smooth and creamy.

3. – Add the sugar and mix until well combined. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract.

4. – In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.

5. – Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.

6. – Scoop the dough by the tablespoonful and place them on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.

7. – Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.

8. – Remove the cookies from the oven and immediately use the back of a spoon to create an indentation in the center of each cookie.

9. – Spoon about 1 teaspoon of salted caramel sauce into the center of each cookie.

10. – Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For an extra decadent touch, drizzle additional salted caramel sauce over the cookies before serving. Store the cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
