Ingredients
– 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
– 10 ounces fresh spinach, washed and chopped
– 8 ounces feta cheese, crumbled
– 1 egg, beaten
– 1 tablespoon olive oil
– 1 garlic clove, minced
– 1/4 teaspoon salt
– 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
2. In a large bowl, combine the chopped spinach, crumbled feta, minced garlic, olive oil, salt, and pepper. Mix well to evenly distribute the ingredients.
3. Unfold the puff pastry sheet and roll it out on a lightly floured surface to a 12×15-inch rectangle.
4. Spread the spinach and feta mixture evenly over the puff pastry, leaving a 1-inch border.
5. Starting from the short side, tightly roll up the puff pastry into a spiral log.
6. Transfer the spiral log, seam-side down, to a parchment-lined baking sheet.
7. Brush the top of the spiral pie with the beaten egg.
8. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and flaky.
9. Allow the spiral pie to cool for 5-10 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
