Description

Prepare to be wowed by these irresistible Smoky Bacon Mac & Cheese Egg Roll Bombs – a fusion of creamy, cheesy macaroni and crispy, golden-brown egg roll shells, infused with the smoky, savory flavors of bacon. Perfect as an appetizer or a main dish, these bombs are sure to become a new family favorite.

Ingredients

– 8 oz elbow macaroni

– 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

– 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled

– 1/4 cup milk

– 1/4 tsp smoked paprika

– 1/4 tsp garlic powder

– Salt and pepper to taste

– 16 egg roll wrappers

– Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

1. 1. Cook the macaroni according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

2. 2. In a large bowl, combine the cooked macaroni, shredded cheddar cheese, crumbled bacon, milk, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well until fully incorporated.

3. 3. Lay an egg roll wrapper on a flat surface in a diamond shape. Place approximately 2-3 tablespoons of the mac and cheese mixture in the center of the wrapper.

4. 4. Fold the bottom corner over the filling, then fold in the sides and roll up tightly to form an egg roll.

5. 5. In a large skillet or Dutch oven, heat 2-3 inches of vegetable oil to 350°F.

6. 6. Carefully add the egg roll bombs to the hot oil and fry for 2-3 minutes per side, or until golden brown.

7. 7. Remove the fried egg roll bombs from the oil and drain on a paper towel-lined plate.

8. 8. Serve the Smoky Bacon Mac & Cheese Egg Roll Bombs warm, with a side of creamy cheese dipping sauce, if desired.

Notes

For a spicier version, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the mac and cheese filling. You can also experiment with different cheese varieties, such as pepper jack or gouda, for additional flavor.
