Description
These Spicy Gochujang Eggs are a quick and flavorful Korean-inspired breakfast that’s ready in just 15 minutes. The eggs are cooked in a spicy, savory gochujang sauce and topped with green onions and sesame seeds for a delicious flavor explosion.
Ingredients
– 6 large eggs
– 2 tablespoons gochujang (Korean red chili paste)
– 1 tablespoon soy sauce
– 1 teaspoon sesame oil
– 2 green onions, thinly sliced
– 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
– 1/4 teaspoon salt
– 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
1. 1. In a small bowl, whisk together the gochujang, soy sauce, and sesame oil.
2. 2. Heat a nonstick skillet over medium heat. Crack the eggs directly into the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes, or until the whites are set but the yolks are still runny.
3. 3. Carefully pour the gochujang sauce over the eggs and let it bubble and thicken for 1-2 minutes.
4. 4. Remove the skillet from heat and sprinkle the green onions and sesame seeds over the top.
5. 5. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
6. 6. Serve the Spicy Gochujang Eggs immediately, while hot.
Notes
For a creamier texture, you can gently stir the eggs while they cook. You can also serve the Spicy Gochujang Eggs over steamed rice for a more substantial meal.
