Description

These Spinach Artichoke Swirls are a mouthwatering and easy-to-make appetizer that will impress your guests. The combination of creamy spinach, artichoke, and cheese wrapped in flaky puff pastry is simply irresistible.

Ingredients

– 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed

– 1 cup chopped fresh spinach

– 1 cup chopped canned artichoke hearts

– 4 ounces cream cheese, softened

– 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

– 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

– 1/4 teaspoon salt

– 1/8 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

1. – Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).

2. – In a medium bowl, mix together the chopped spinach, artichoke hearts, cream cheese, Parmesan, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.

3. – Unfold the puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface. Roll it out into a 12×12-inch square.

4. – Spread the spinach-artichoke mixture evenly over the puff pastry, leaving a 1-inch border.

5. – Starting from one side, tightly roll up the puff pastry to create a long cylinder.

6. – Slice the rolled-up pastry into 1-inch thick pieces.

7. – Place the swirls, cut-side up, on a parchment-lined baking sheet.

8. – Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown.

9. – Serve the Spinach Artichoke Swirls warm.

Notes

– For a crispier texture, brush the tops of the swirls with a beaten egg or milk before baking.

– Experiment with different cheeses, such as mozzarella or fontina, for a variation in flavor.

– These swirls can be made ahead and frozen. Bake directly from frozen, adding a few extra minutes to the cooking time.
