Ingredients

– 1 sheet puff pastry or crescent roll dough, thawed

– 2 cups fresh spinach, chopped

– 4 ounces thinly sliced ham

– 1 egg, beaten

– 1 tablespoon water

– 1/4 teaspoon salt

– 1/8 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

2. Unfold the puff pastry or crescent roll dough and place it on a lightly floured surface.

3. Spread the chopped spinach evenly over the dough, leaving a 1-inch border.

4. Layer the thinly sliced ham on top of the spinach.

5. Starting from the short side, tightly roll the dough into a log, enclosing the spinach and ham.

6. In a small bowl, whisk together the egg and water to create an egg wash.

7. Brush the top and sides of the rolled dough with the egg wash.

8. Cut the rolled dough into 1-inch slices and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

9. Bake for 15-18 minutes, or until the rolls are golden brown and the dough is cooked through.

10. Remove from the oven and let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
