Description

Introducing the Spring Greens Star Bread – a quick, divine recipe that’s perfect for a springtime celebration or gathering. This flaky, braided pastry is filled with a vibrant, flavorful blend of fresh greens, making it a delightful and visually stunning addition to any springtime menu.

Ingredients

– 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed

– 2 cups fresh spring greens (such as spinach, arugula, and kale), chopped

– 1/2 cup shredded Parmesan cheese

– 1 tablespoon olive oil

– 1 teaspoon garlic powder

– 1/2 teaspoon salt

– 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

2. In a medium bowl, combine the chopped spring greens, Parmesan cheese, olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to ensure the greens are evenly coated.

3. Unfold the puff pastry sheet and roll it out on a lightly floured surface to a 12-inch square.

4. Cut the puff pastry into 8 equal strips, each about 1.5 inches wide.

5. Arrange the greens mixture in the center of the puff pastry, creating a 4-inch wide strip down the middle.

6. Take one of the outer strips of puff pastry and fold it diagonally over the greens mixture, then take the strip from the other side and fold it over the first strip, creating a criss-cross pattern. Repeat this process, alternating the strips, until the entire star bread is braided.

7. Carefully transfer the star bread to a parchment-lined baking sheet.

8. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and the filling is hot and bubbly.

9. Let the star bread cool for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
